Until recently, the only option for straightening teeth was to spend a lengthy spell wearing unsightly metal braces.
But that changed with the introduction of Invisalign - a discreet, removable aligner that has revolutionised the art of teeth straightening and orthodontics.
Gone are the metal wires and brackets which lend traditional braces their unsightly appearance. The clear plastic used to produce Invisalign aligners makes them virtually impossible to spot when in place.
And that’s not the only way in which Invisalign straighteners represent a paradigm shift in orthodontics. Invisalign straighteners are removable, so you can take them out at any time for eating, brushing, flossing and more.
With so many advantages over traditional fixed braces, it's no wonder Invisalign is now the UK's number one choice for teeth straightening.
When discretion is a must, Invisalign is the clear winner. Their super-discreet appearance is thanks to the clear plastic used to produce the aligners. It means most people won't even notice you are wearing them.
At Buckle Advanced Dental Care, we use the latest in digital dentistry and 3D imaging technology to precision-plan Invisalign treatment. We can show you images of the final results before treatment even begins.
You'll find no fixed brackets or wires here. Invisalign aligners are removable, meaning you can take them out at any time for eating, brushing, flossing and more. When finished, just pop the aligner back in and let Invisalign get on with straightening.
Invisalign can treat a wide variety of orthodontic issues. They're perfect for closing gaps, straightening twisted or crooked teeth, and correcting misalignment and overcrowding.
At Buckle Advanced Dental Care, we’ve assembled a team comprising dentistry’s most talented and skilled professionals representing the best of their field. Our Invisalign expert Dr Roseanne Farhina enjoys many years of advanced orthodontic training and experience.
She has completed extensive postgraduate training overseas. She gained a certificate in orthodontics from The Brazilian Dental Association and a Masters in Dental Medicine from Portugal.
Roseanne’s advanced training continues. She is proud to stay ahead of the curve on new technology and treatments and continue getting the best possible results for her patients.
Without fixed brackets or wires, the process of straightening with Invisalign is much different from traditional methods. Instead of tightening wires to bring the teeth into the correct position, Invisalign uses a series of removable aligners.
Your Invisalign journey begins with a scan using our hi-tech digital 3D imaging system. The scanner replaces the dental putty used to take traditional impressions, allowing our team to achieve an accurate fit without any mess. We can even show you an image of exactly how your smile will look once treatment is complete.
We'll send your digital scans to Invisalign's US laboratory along with detailed production notes from our orthodontic team. Invisalign will use these to create a series of custom aligners. Depending on the complexity of treatment, the process could take anything from 12-48 aligners to complete.
As soon as we receive the aligners from Invisalign - usually a few weeks - you'll be invited back to our Wirral clinic for your fitting. We'll make sure the first appliance is comfortable and give you some helpful hints and advice for getting started. We'll also issue you with your first replacement aligner to swap in a few weeks.
You should wear Invisalign aligners for around 20 hours every day, including at night, removing only to eat, brush and floss. At regular visits to our clinic every six weeks or so, we'll provide you with the next aligner in the series. Treatment usually takes 9-15 months.
After wearing the final aligner for a few weeks, you'll notice your teeth gently nudged into the perfect position. Now it's time to say goodbye to the aligners and say hello to an amazing new smile!
