Gemma started her career in dentistry over 20 years ago whilst serving as a dental nurse in the RAF before going on to qualify as a dental hygienist at the university of Liverpool in 2006.
She worked in practices in Shropshire and the Wirral before moving to London where she spent 13 years alongside specialist dentists treating patients with implants, orthodontics, and advanced periodontal disease.
Gemma has now returned to the Wirral starting work at Buckle Advanced Dental Care in sept 2023. She is a firm believer that a healthy mouth is an integral part of overall health and is dedicated to helping patients achieve this.
Gemma has a lot of experience working with nervous patients, ensuring they receive care in the most comfortable and relaxing way possible. Her passion lies in helping patients achieve clean, healthy mouths through personalised care.
Outside of work, Gemma enjoys staying current with the latest developments in dentistry, loves to cook, and treasures spending time with her young son.
As someone who's a bit of a wimp when it comes to needles and drills, I was pleased to discover that this is the first dental surgery I've been to where the treatment genuinely doesn't hurt - a testament to the skill and care provided by the staff. Treatment - fillings x 2, some reconstructive/aesthetic work and several hygiene appointments.
I have nothing but good things to say about the treatment I have recieved at Buckle Advanced Dental Care over the last year. Dr. Buckle and the rest of the team are caring, knowledgable and always take the time to ensure I understand whats happening with my teeth, which really puts me at ease. Thank you!
