Until recently, the only option for straightening teeth was to spend a lengthy spell wearing unsightly metal braces.
But that changed with the introduction of clear removable aligner options that have revolutionised the art of teeth straightening and orthodontics.
Gone are the metal wires and brackets which lend traditional braces their unsightly appearance. The transparent plastic used to produce clear aligners makes them virtually impossible to spot when in place.
And that’s not the only way clear aligners represent a paradigm shift in orthodontics. The appliances are removable, so you can take them out for eating, brushing, flossing and more.
At Buckle Advanced Dental Care, you’ll find a full range of leading clear aligner options, including Invisalign®, ClearCorrect, and the revolutionary FAS Aligners.
If you’ve researched clear aligner orthodontics, you’ll probably recognise the world’s favourite, Invisalign®—responsible for millions of smile transformations worldwide.
ClearCorrect is the comfortable clear aligner from dental tech leader Straumann, offering effective, predictable straightening.
Flex, Target, Compact or Pro—FAS provides a diverse set of aligner solutions to treat a wide range of orthodontic challenges.
With so many advantages over traditional fixed braces, it's no wonder clear aligners are the number one choice for outstanding results.
When discretion is a must, clear aligners are streets ahead. Their super-discreet appearance is thanks to the clear plastic used to produce the aligners, which means most people won't even notice you are wearing them.
At Buckle Advanced Dental Care, we use the latest digital dentistry and 3D imaging technology to precision-plan aligner treatment. We can even show you images of the final results before treatment begins.
You'll find no fixed brackets or wires here. Clear aligners are removable, meaning you can take them out at any time for eating, brushing, flossing and more. When finished, just pop the aligner back in and let your aligners get on with straightening.
Clear aligners can treat a wide variety of orthodontic issues. They're perfect for closing gaps, straightening twisted or crooked teeth, and correcting misalignment and overcrowding.
At Buckle Advanced Dental Care, we’ve assembled a team comprising dentistry’s most talented and skilled professionals representing the best in their field.
Our team enjoys many years of advanced orthodontic training and experience in Invisalign®, ClearCorrect and FAS aligners—and have completed thousands of successful cases.
We’re proud to stay ahead of the curve on new technology and techniques to continue getting the best possible results for our patients.
Without fixed brackets or wires, straightening with Invisalign is much different from traditional methods. Instead of tightening wires to bring the teeth into the correct position, clear aligners employ a series of removable aligners.
We’ll start by talking you through the available options, so you can decide which aligner system is right for you
Your clear aligner journey begins with a scan using our hi-tech digital 3D imaging system. The scanner replaces the dental putty used to take traditional impressions, allowing our team to achieve an accurate fit without any mess. We can even show you an image of exactly how your smile will look once treatment is complete.
We'll send your digital scans to a laboratory along with detailed production notes from our orthodontic team. Invisalign will use these to create a series of custom aligners. Depending on the complexity of the treatment, the process could take anything from 12-48 aligners to complete.
As soon as we receive the aligners from the laboratory—usually a few weeks—you'll be invited back to our Wirral clinic for your fitting. We'll make sure the first appliance is comfortable and give you some helpful hints and advice for getting started. We'll also issue your first replacement aligner to swap in a few weeks.
You should wear your aligners for around 20 hours every day, including at night, removing them to eat, brush and floss. At regular visits to our clinic every six weeks or so, we'll provide you with the next aligner in the series. Treatment usually takes 9-15 months.
After wearing the final aligner for a few weeks, you'll notice your teeth gently nudged into the perfect position. Now it's time to say goodbye to the aligners and say hello to an amazing new smile!
